Wetlands Reserve Enhancement ProgramPartnership proposals for WREP projects in Florida are due by Friday, February 10, 2012Wetlands Reserve Enhancement Program or WREP, is a voluntary conservation program that works through partnership agreements with states, nongovernmental organizations and tribes, as defined in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) provides technical and financial support to help landowners with their wetland restoration efforts. The NRCS goal is to achieve the greatest wetland functions and values, along with optimum wildlife habitat, on every acre enrolled in the program.
General WREP is a component of the Wetlands Reserve Program (WRP) through which
NRCS the enters into agreements with eligible partners to target and leverage
resources to carry out high-priority wetland protection, restoration, and

Who May Apply Action: Notice of request for proposals through the General WREP. Dates: Eligible partners may submit proposals for General WREP by email and hardcopy; all proposals must be received on or before Friday, February 10, 2012.
