Veteran's Emphasis Program (VEP)

While Veteran's employment is not traditionally identified as a separate special emphasis area, NRCS in Florida has designated it as such to provide assistance and guidance to America's military veterans as they seek Federal civil service employment.

The Veteran's Emphasis Program Manager provides assistance to veterans in understanding their rights and options regarding Federal employment and related issues. The links below offer a variety of services, tools and information that we hope are useful and informative to our nations veterans who are seeking employment in the Federal civilian service.

The VET Guide is a comprehensive guide from the Office of Personnel Management that explains the special rights and privileges that veterans enjoy in Federal civil service employment.

The Department of Veteran's Affairs (VA) site is dedicated to breaking news pertaining to veterans.

An extensive list of links dedicated to veteran's issues and organizations, including The Center for Military History, Disabled American Veterans, the American Legion, PIW/MIA's, the VA Center for Women Veterans, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and many more. Senator Dan Burton, U.S. House of Representatives, Indiana's 6th District maintains this site.
